EMMANUEL

During the Christmas season we can often be reminded of a specific name of 𝗚𝗼𝗱-𝔼𝕞𝕞𝕒𝕟𝕦𝕖𝕝, “ God with us.”

I’m sure most of you can easily recite this truth but do we truly understand it in it’s fullness? I felt it gnawing on my heart to pause and reflect on what it truly means.

He came and dwelled among us in human flesh for 33 years but His presence is still available to us here and now. I believe if we get this God reality it will shift the way we operate through our day to day lives.

Pausing and acknowledging we’re not alone but that we have a God who deeply cares for us. Why would we ever need to fear, worry, or be lonely again if the creator of the universe is by our side? Let me remind you, NOTHING is impossible for Him.

I’m inviting you into this challenge. Really think about it for a moment and try to get past what you’ve heard thousands of times. Allow the reality of God being WITH US to penetrate your heart as you think through real life scenarios. From the challenges in life to the sweet and precious moments.

He’s with you.

When we don’t acknowledge Him, or we struggle to even believe this truth.

He’s STILL with you.

What amazes me about God being God is He could’ve designed you and I to be puppets, just obeying the puppeteer and choosing to be completely disconnected. Instead, He CHOSE to intimately intertwine himself with His creation. Not only has He revealed who He is and what He’s like through the life of Jesus (John 14:9) but also knows us fully and would love nothing more than to be in a beautiful relationship that is mutually enjoyed.

What would this change for you if you began believing it? That beautiful pursuit of your heart is here and now. I believe every human longs to be fully known, seen and loved and the reality is…you are! May the gift of having an awareness of God being specifically with YOU, bring peace, gratitude, and deep fulfillment.

Now, as you release the beautiful name “Emmanuel” from your lips this season and throughout the years to come may it mean something much deeper than just a name but a name that changed everything.
